No this isn’t some redneck shit about taking it back. Nor some Falcons homage I don’t quite understand. ATL has accomplished much more. In fact, if it could only keep all the creatives, artists, MCs and scenesters in the city it would be ahead of 90% of them. Unlike NYC and LA, Atlanta is yet to be noticed as a real city even with the busiest fucking airport in the world. I feel this plays to the city’s favor though.
A public transportation system that leaves much of the city disconnected from its neighbors allows the doors for pockets of creative communities to popup all over the city that has its own appeal for all to flourish in. Whether it’s a famous studio or a fashion empire, Atlanta has it all. In most neighborhoods in Atlanta you will find some of the best restaurants, graffiti artists, tattoo parlors and overall cool happenings. You have Castleberry Hill with a Friday night art walk showcasing local talent around every corner; O4W (Old Fourth Ward), where not only does the history of this neighborhood attract people, but the happening art scene is breathing new life into the city; EAV (East Atlanta Village) – where do I even start?

If you are sleeping on Atlanta it’s time to wake up. They have the old heads, the up-and-comers, and today’s superstars. This isn’t just hip-hop. This is everything in between and some!
