Tanqueray Trunk Show Event Recap
The House of Tanqueray hosted their third Trunk Show in Atlanta this weekend and my wife and I had the pleasure of attending. The event, a national campaign “providing mentorship through progressive style,” featured successful entrepreneurs from the fashion and entertainment world. The vibe was on point from the jump, complete with hassle-free parking and a shuttle service that drove us to and from the Summerour Studio venue. The evening began with a quote “Culture as a Cocktail,” allowing patrons to create their very own Signature Tanqueray and Tonic cocktail shaken or stirred how they like it. Next was a panel discussion hosted by Coltrane Curtis on brand exposure and global influence complete with Q&A by some of the dopest in the game: Maxwell Osborne of Black Apple, Public School, and Jason Geter of Grand Hustle, Akoo, and one of my personal favorite brands Strivers Row.

At the end of the panel discussion it was announced that all in attendance who received a white ticket with a specific brand labeled on the back (KITH, Strivers Row, or Public School) would be able to shop one item for FREE out of the merchandise displayed in the venue. My ticket was labeled KITH which was awesome because I dig the brand a lot. I got a pair of Herringbone, Chai Mercer pants which is one item I’ve wanted from KITH for a long time. Luckily I begged my pregnant wife to roll out with me to the event. She also got a white ticket, her’s was branded Strivers Row. Let’s just say I walked away with the one item I always regretted not buying when I worked for Strivers, a beautifully constructed camo vest.

The Trunk Show also included sounds by DJ M.O.S. and a live performance by Ryan Leslie. Check out the video imagery and photos I was able to capture with my iPhone 6 plus.
