Of course, he can't see that yet. But when his upset girlfriend asks him to go to therapy, or she may have to leave the relationship, it sets off a domino effect that leads him back to something he had no clue he was searching for.

This book was initially born as a coping mechanism. The creator, Loveless Melvin, found himself at rock bottom during his healing journey, having literally tried every healing modality possible.

He needed to retrace his steps. See what he did wrong, and guide people to better choices, or hopefully not need to heal at all.

But something else happened. 

The comic evolved him. Helped him see how healing his trauma, while tough, was one of the best things to happen to him. His goal in the book is to do the same for others, without it being all new-age, feel-good shit, and, at times, even pointing out the absurdity of healing, primarily through the unbiased lens of the black experience.
